I think SBUX is a good pick at these levels. However I thought so in the high 20's as well. I'm surprised to see the fall go this far. Since you're going for a long-term hold, it seems like a solid play. I agree that the extent an economic slowdown/recession would have on SBUX is likely overblown. They don't tend to be in the sparsely populated rural areas or urban poor areas. They are in the more affluent burbs and city sections.

I also am playing CROX for long-term. I think it's more speculative than starbucks for many reasons but I like the company for a variety of other factors, including the fact that its international sales are now larger than its domesitic sales.

Sorry for the OT discussion, but I like sharing ideas when the topic wanders over to one that I'm interested in.
