I agree something was going on at the TA. They simply ran out of OVIS certs.

Hhm, you know I made a list of points to make it very convenient to rebut each one. I think it is rather silly of you to rebut one point at a time. There are still plenty of more points that make the TA look fishy, have at them.

A short postion can remain open indefinitely if there is a guarantee that there are shares with which one could eventually cover the short. The holders of penny stocks companies always seem to be able to find creative ways to handle this type of transaction. I've seen it happen too many times to start trusting someone now.

Ok, no hand waving now, please give two examples of the ways used in the "many times" to handle certificate calls for restricted shares. The obvious one is to issue more unrestricted shares. Any other ways?
