Hannity's only issue now seems to be "democrats will raise your taxes" and it is true we want Bush's tax cuts for the rich and big corps abolished ..

So Hannity is truthful. Again you admit it.

Hannity on his radio show said that "rich" to democrats means $75,000 per year or more. In fact he knows damn well that the Dem cut-off for tax cuts is below $225,000 give or take. That is three times as much and only raises taxes on maybe 2% of Americans.

Some Dems want to raise taxes on wealthy people making over $97,000:

Pay more attention to Social Security

An Aumsville reader had this reaction to Sunday's column by David Broder:
Fairly good commentary by David Broder; however he also failed to talk about the Social Security question which the debate only let Obama and Clinton give their response.
Obama was for removing the $97,000 FICA cap and thereby collected more funds that would keep greatly increase the funds needed for the Social Security Program; however Clinton indirectly indicated that she would not remove the $97,000 FICA cap because she said it would increase taxes for the middle class. This issue needed more discussion and other candidates never got to discuss it because Wolf Blitzer cut off it off.
I think the facts are that removing the $97,000 FICA cap is to obtain more funds from the wealthy for the Social Security Program.
I WAS SHOCKED AT SENATOR HILLARY CLINTON'S RESPONSE, WHY HASN'T THE NEWS MEDIA HONED IN ON HER RESPONSE? The media like David Broder seems to believe that she did great in the debate, I totally disagree with that assumption. Her one word NO to the driver's license question needed clarification, why did she flip / flop?
Review of the debate was also done by mostly Republicans except for Democrat James Carville who should be disqualified because he works on Senator Hillary Clinton's campaign.

Since when is $97,000 and above, middle class? Middle class is $40,000 - $55,000. $97,000 and above is upper middle class and beyond in my judgment. Somebody who is earning above $97,000 can easily afford to pay more for social security. Remove that FICA cap, already.

Democrats also favor raising the capital gains tax. That will hit me by about $40-50K when I retire in four years - if I take advantage of rule that allows one to take appreciated company stock out of a tax-sheltered retirement plan, sell it when desired and pay the capital gains tax on the gain.
