It's the same reason we have people supporting Obama. Or Edwards, for that matter. It's the same reason a guy like Michael Moore is lionized. Why a guy like Al Gore can get people to believe that buying carbon credits actually accomplishes anything more than assaugement of conscience. It's how Hillary can claim to have the experience and credentials for the top job with a straight face. It's also the same reason that you can't order a cup of coffee in a Starbucks or similar establishment without repeating yourself or re-answering questions you've already answered at least twice, and why cash registers have happy faces, hamburgers and lattes depicted instead of numbers or cash symbols. Have you guessed the answer? The sad part is that politicians count on the systemic 'dumbness' of the general population to sustain them and allow them to say---virtually anything---without consequences....that is, until the MSM decides to torture some statement into something it wasn't in order to further its own agenda...and then it relies on the same techniques as the politicians. It is really a sad commentary. I used to think that the "public" had the benefit of collective wisdom. Anymore, thanks to control of the educational system--and Media for that matter-- by the extreme left, people have lost the ability to reason or to ferret out some truth from the bombardment of BS that assails them every day. The irony is that the Islamic extremists will continue to manipulate their most vulnerable citizens---the ones brought up in the Madrasses---in order to manipulate our most vulnerable citizens--the ones who have been force fed the pablum of liberalism and who have had the ability to reason weened out of them.
