Mr D. Cremonese reports
Teuton's Treaty Creek property is 20km east of the producing Eskay Creek mine and encompasses 75
sq km of claims. The property is under option to Global Explorations under terms whereby Global can
earn a 50% interest by spending $1.2 million in exploration and making cash and share payments to
Teuton over four years.
During the 1997 drilling program at Treaty Creek, eight holes totalling approximately 1400m tested four
separate mineralized zones. Encouraging results were obtained from two holes testing the Eureka zone in
the central part of the property (Treaty gossan) both of which intersected long intervals of anomalous to
highly anomalous gold mineralization. Hole 97-1 contained a 169.2m interval from 1.52 to 170.7m
averaging 0.46 g/t gold and hole 97-8 a 72.3m interval from 2.4 to 74.7m averaging 0.67 g/t gold.
These holes, along with others drilled in 1994 within the Eureka zone, indicate potential for a very large
gold bearing system. A BC government geologist visiting the Treaty Creek property during the 1997
drilling program commented favourably on the impressive size of the alteration zone at Treaty gossan
and believes it may be part of the same system encompassing the Orpiment zone more than 1.5km to the
northwest. He also stated that the local geology and geochemistry indicate excellent potential for the
discovery of Eskay Creek type mineralization.
Elsewhere two holes, No. 97-2 and 97-3, were drilled in the Goat Trail zone targeting gold-lead-zinc
soil/talus geochemical anomalies discovered in 1988. These holes also encountered extensive intercepts
of anomalous gold mineralization with the best values just below surface. In No. 97-2, a 9.15m section
from 4.57 to 13.72m returned 1.65 g/t gold; in No. 97-3 a 12.2m section from 4.57 to 16.77m returned
0.93 g/t gold. Highly elevated lead-zinc values accompanying the gold suggest the holes may have been
collared on the edge or close to the source of the geochemical anomalies. Deep overburden in the area of
the drill collar precluded surface tracing of the gold-lead-zinc mineralization.
A further three holes tested an 800m long linear zone of alteration called the Southwest zone. Hole 97-4
returned a 6.80m interval from 40.26m to 47.06m averaging 2.28 g/t gold; hole 97-6 a 4.57m interval
from 33.54 to 38.11m averaging 5.49 g/t. The remaining hole, 97-7, was drilled into the Konkin zone
and was stopped prematurely for technical reasons. No significant mineralization was intersected to the
end of the hole at 125m.
Global has informed Teuton that despite the encouraging results it will not be proceeding with the
option. Accordingly a 100% interest in the Treaty Creek property has reverted to Teuton.
