Regarding the Seahawks. I was just reflecting on the Jets' shellacking over Seattle in week 1. I'd be willing to bet that if Parcells had Seattle's players, they'd be headed for the Super Bowl. Ericson (sp?) doesn't know what he's doing. It seems like Parcells has the Jets players enthusiastic. O'Donnell is proving himself.
I like Parcels. Is he the top coach in the NFL? 2 Super bowls, 2 teams in Super Bowl, best AFC effort since the last time Cincy was there (heartbreaking loss to SF 20-16?).
What's the problem with the Bengals? They were a dark horse before the season started... now they seem to be fading fast.
What happened to the Rams? Are the niners going to always have at least 3 crummy divisional opponents? It makes for 6 cakewalks a year. They may have 8 cakewalks this year, in there division alone!!
Did I hear right or do the niners have 3 more divisional opponents in a row? Isn't that something like 7 divisional games in a row? Indeed, after being smashed by TB in week 1 they've gotten (or are getting) 7 divisional games in a row, 2 each against NO, ATL, and St Louis.
If TB had won on Sunday, Green Bay would have been in trouble. It was a must-win for GB. Time will tell if it turns out to have been a must-win for TB. Is it possible for a team to be "impressive in losing?"
Denver (gasp) appears to be the best team in the league right now. Did they trade in their small, quick linemen for some giants? I heard that this year their center is over 300. If they have a big line they're going all the way. Their small OLine last year hurt them toward the end.
Are the Redskins playoff material? My playoff picks:
Denver Pats Jacksonville Jets Bills Pittsburgh
SF TB AZ Washington Phi GB
I'm not at all sure that GB won't pull off the central but expect TB to be in. I would like to see TB win the central, or even the NFC home field.
You can switch AZ with Dallas, and Phi with Carolina or Detroit if you like.
Does anyone know the inter-league record so far? It seems like the AFC is for once in a long time, stronger than the NFC this year.
