Sure looks like fear to me and we have a Fed that doesn't like to act boldly. The Fed's incrementalism and reluctance to ease sooner and faster has allowed the risks to grow. Greenspan would have cut a lot more by now. But the nice thing about fear is that it gives you good buying opportunities. I'm shopping around right now. In particular, I'm looking at alt energy stocks that may have been beaten down during this fear cycle. Not many that are getting beaten down sufficiently though.
