Bush is the worst economic president since Herbert Hoover who ushered in the Great Depression. There is no debate about that now. And the big comparison between the two is the corporate (then robber baron) corruption of their closest cronies. Also, both presidents really don't give a damn about average people, or doing what's right and sustainable. All they care about is having a party on our money while they're in power. The Bush stagflationary recession is in its third month now. If you want to bury your head in the sand and not see it, go ahead, but nobody else is fooled, which is why the dollar keeps sinking to all-time lows and America becomes "for sale cheap" to foreigners including the Chinese and Saudis.
