I don't necessary disagree with your accesment. I just think
the effect of the litigation to AVNT has been overemphsized.
Sure one may argue that companies that deal with AVNT lack
ethical bounaries. But you might want to look at why those
companies would be driven to take that risk in the first place.
Joe Costello is not a choir boy, he did not get to where he is
today by being a saint. What you see today (mass defection of
former CDN customers) is very much backlash against him. Unfortunately, the question of ethics has gone out the window
ever since Gerry Hsu left CDN. This is more of a battle of
personalities and egos.

I am not defending AVNT, however, my view is that AVNT has
grown to such a point that the fine and penality levied on
them (if any) would amount to only a slap on their hand
when things are said and down. CDN will win a moral victory.
But it would mean very little if they continue to lag behind
in technology.
