Every political candidate attempts to incite and attract the projections of as many people as possible, casting themselves as the answer to whatever they see, the fear, hope or cold-blooded analysis. They win or lose on the success of that effort, your candidates no less than anyone else's. And guess what, just because your candidate sees a boogeyman behind every tree doesn't mean there is one. And just because my candidate wants me to believe that everything can be wonderful doesn't mean it will be. But on balance, what you see is what you get.
