Man! We got nailed yesterday. I left the office to go to my rental to let the glass guys in to repair party damage. Then up to the DHL drop box. By that time - 10:00 am or so, power was out for a good part of the town.

When I got back to the office, had to park at the library parking lot because access to my office was for the most part blocked by trees (big ones) across the streets. We shut down the office, as did most businesses in town.

A 70' silver maple in front of my rental went down across the street and barely missed the neighbor's house. One of my neighbors ended up with a silver maple taking out a dormer and falling on the roof. Not sure if it punctured it. A new Caddy STS down the street took a direct hit from a couple tons of large sycamore branches and is totaled.

Whole town looks like a hurricane hit.

I don't have power, and not sure when I get it back. Luckily, we have gas hot water, a gas fireplace in family room and a gas cooktop. Also have an extra wired telephone so we have phone service to the house in addition to cell service.

This is a tree that fell across my street just on the other side of the intersection from us. It belongs to the house that is cattycorner from ours.

I'll post some of my own pics when I get a chance.
