Hsu operated on his own. He conned the Clintons for awhile that's all. He was totally unlike the smearvets financiers who deliberately funded the most despicable and least honest smear campagn in US history against an honest stellar war hero. Hu, like many immoral charlatans, bought his way into the Clinton campaign by raising money. No campaign in America has the resources to investigate the backgrounds of every contributor. They don't even try. Newsmax falsely claimed that the Clintons were deliberately associated with a white collar criminal. In fact, Newsmax funded a lawsuit over it and the Clintons were cleared of all wrong-doing. The case was thrown out of court for having zero merit. And Newsmax's source on the dirt was a convicted stick swindler. Newsmax also funded all the phony smear suits against Bill Clinton accusing him falsely of rape and sexual harrassment. The person who wrote up the "victims" deposition was one Anne Coulter, one of the most dishonest and hate-filled partisan extremists in US history. So careful what dirt you spread. When you listen to Newsmax or smearvets you are repeating deliberate libel.
