The data series as reported in the charts located here approaches the work we do here with important differences. Never the less I think this series best articulates a truth we invented here which says, In the absence of a market price; Price becomes the artifact of prevailing systems intent. the charts provided at Bullwinkels agggragated news site; siliconinvestor.com Look at the last paragraph next too chart 1. This descriptive paragraph is telling you exactly what we've been saying for years. It almost describes the drama that unfolded in the period beginning May 06. Why, I like these series is because they attempt to tell what is the characterization of behavior with respect to volume. Whats wrong with the series; A lot, its the missing information that completes the discussion and this series leaves out what i consider to be the most important dimensions for understanding vol. I would suggest that the series is only 1/5th to 1/3rd complete, depending on how the information is cast to category. Only in the last quarter have I begun to notice on the message boards; the subject of volume characterization, creeping into the output of those who participate regularly on a cross section of investment boards. I can tell you that the degree of understanding is low, and that this thread continues to be the only thread that casts volume correctly and characterizes the data to category correctly. In doing the data collection work, our characterizations of the gross market with respect to price, are the defacto truths of the current trade. While the broader market is struggling to understand the disconnects, our characterizations provide the truths which get directly to the bottom line, that there are no market prices in a market that has become a system of systems.
