As with almost anything, there are gray areas.

I don't know what to do when a kid doesn't want to go to school, but I still think going to school should be mandatory.

I assume that drafting people into the military during a national emergency would be a libertarian issue, and you may have a point.

But providing health care to everyone could even have a pretty good practical if not philosophical (not seeing people sick in the streets)rationale:
