I suspect that the LARGER problem for Hil is that she has LONG HAD some of the highest negative numbers (in polling) for any modern American politician. (Right up there with Newt Gingrich....)

So, her political support among Dems was always 'a mile wide and an inch deep'... conditioned more upon her perceived position as the front-runner.

I have long thought that --- were she to be perceived as vulnerable, lose her position in the 'lead' --- that a lot of that professed support would melt away.
