A recession is two quarters of negative GDP. We have had growth through the 3Q and forecasts are positive for the 4Q.

So what. Most times we don't know we've entered a recession til after the fact. Unemployment is nearly up to 370K...which is considered recessionary levels. Treasuries, a flight to safety during recessions, is experiencing yields of less than 4%.......for the first time in years. Employment grew by 18k last month.....the lowest in a year. The trend has been consistently down the entire year. Some industries like housing and retail have been in recession for months now. The question on most pundits' minds is not whether we will have a recession but how deep will it be.

In fact, the only people not talking about a recession are the GOP candidates......now doesn't that speak volumes!
