The Democrats fell over each other proclaiming their opposition to continuing those tax cuts. Unlike the Republicans, who never mentioned it, the Democrats took on the mortgage crisis, saying it demonstrated the need to regulate the banks that made irresponsible loans and the investment firms that profited from them.

This is what's so mind boggling.....its as if subprime, tax cuts, credit woes etc don't exist in the GOP world. Harris has been saying the same thing to me about housing and subprime....everything is fine, there is no crisis. They did the same thing with the war in Iraq.......it took them years to admit there was a problem. And I don't think its just partisan posturing.......I think its a fundamental flaw in their thought processes.
