After a nasty day at the dentist, I would remind folks to keep their medical and dental work current in case TSHTF.

I can only imagine preindustrial dentistry. As for medicine, I think of that tv commercial where the surgeon is telling the hapless guy at home over the phone how to take out his own appendix (with a staek knife).
