There is a tectonic shift in the software business.

gOs 'Rocket' with Google gears(SOA), offline website on demand software runtime, Microsoft with over 2.0 gb virtual memory for Vista to run Vista with smaller dram size.

This goes for speed and SOA can be run on browsers with the use of toolbars, taskbars and addressbars as well as trays. The concept of virtual operating system installed by bios, determination by PNPOs.

So, Novell is slightly lost trying to follow RedHat and Delta applications. They interviewed Whitehurst too, but did not connect with the Delta account.

On the other hand, cash is king; and time is wasting until Novell software architecture is thought out. Microsoft trend is not lost at Novell, with their Netware advantage of more hdd virtual memory online. Ron has to watch out for the tectonic shift in technology. A few acquisition maybe in the works from venture capital holdings? Pay thru the nose, but quick technology shift is possible.
