What should we do about to prevent, counter act, and/or adjust to the warmer temperatures?

All sorts of things could happen. To sustain a large human population on the planet Earth we need to reduce pollution amongst other things, including..

(1) Built flood defences, they are needed right now anyway.

(2) Put plenty of money and effort into clean power generation. Nuclear fusion, clean coal, solar, wind, chimney stack effluent reduction, CO2 long term storage.

(3) The oceans are giant fish farms, they need to be efficiently kept in a sustainable way.

(4) Vastly increase the use of railways. How many tracks can you put on a six lane highway? Trucks are only needed for the last few miles to deliver a container. The amount of energy and effort wasted on private vehicles is mind boggling. I am not saying we should ban the Sunday drive or recreational driving, but slavery to the wheel is most unnecessary. Underground vacuum tunnels could replace domestic flights and ship freight, just as efficient and at high speed.

America could lead the way.

I mean yeah, why not do it now?
