Kennedy didn't send an army into Vietnam just a military advisor force and a few minor garrisons. It was not anywhere near the war LBJ started and Nixon prolonged, back then. JFk's limited advisor strategy also worked. Escalating was a total failure because it fed billions of collars into that corrupt third world country and the whole thing became totally corrupted within a short period of time. We were literally funding the VC because so much of our money and weapons were being stolen. Similar to Iraq where tens of billions of our money has simply disappeared. Stolen all of it.
