It is good to see that underneath any semantics we are on the same page and I have no intentions of debating the definitions of deflation and inflation. I would rather try to understand and recognize more specific past and present trends.

Also I understand the definitions that you use and they are as valid as anybodies. Using the definitions you prefer, I agree we have had inflation for the last 80 some years and the odds of "all out" deflation under a fiat currency system are very low or nil.
