> Are you voting for Clinton? If so, why do you like her more than Obama?
Nope, my fave is Edwards, then Obama, then Hillary.
But I like Clinton's victory for four reasons:
1. It makes it so my primary vote will probably actually count in NY for the first time ever (this is only my third Presidential election where I've been eligible to vote)
2. For the most part, the Dems have been refraining from seriously attacking each other, and I think they're going to continue that pattern. But, to whatever extent they do, I think it helps the eventual nominee out in preparing for dealing with the Republicans in the general election. Also, it will confuse the hell out of the Republicans over the next few months as to whom they should be attacking.
3. Having Barack as the sure-thing nominee so soon would knock Edwards out of it. Even if Edwards doesn't win, we need his message resonating as long as possible in this election, and a lot of it will rub off on the eventual Democratic nominee.
4. I'm really hoping that the nomination of one or both parties comes down to the convention. It would probably be the most compelling political affair we have seen in many, many years. If you haven't seen it already, check out the West Wing episode where that happened. Picture Al Gore, Newt Gingrich, or Dick Cheney getting nominated from the floor of their respective parties... it would be amazing.
