Dear Steve:

That is a very intelligent question indeed. Firstly, Mr. Pink would direct you to read Joel Greenbalt's poorly titled book: You Can Be a Stock Market Genius...Even if You're Not That Smart. Many think that because of Mr. Pink's connections with the Divine that he is given a special edge. In fact, Mr. Pink is like you and m...well Mrs Pink. That is to say a regular guy.

Mr. pink looks for the following characteristics:
1) temporarily depressed shares due to a corporate event.
2) management purchases/exercise of options
3) comprehensible business plan and improving fundamentals.

Such characteristics are often found in spin-offs, post bankruptcy equities and demutualizations.

The best publication is the Wall Steet Journal.

And remember you are buying a fractional interest in a business--not just a share that behaves well, poorly or any other way. Be a business man. be a man. Do fundamental research and have fun. There are plenty of cheap securities out there and plenty of fools happy to give them to you.

Good luck,

Professor Pink
