The gospels are not to be taken as fact. They are marvelous writings full of inspired very liberal life lessons and a lot of it could be true, but consider this.

A true story. In the 70's, the Beirut CIA station chief was given custody of the Dead Sea Scrolls for safekeeping. curious, his people tried to unravel one. They figured if they took it up on the roof they could unroll the whole thing. So they did that. A stiff wind blew up and the fragile scroll blew into pieces. It literally disappeared. Those scrolls were likely as credible as what we see in the Bible today. Remember, the Gospels we see today were chosen from many by scholars not by God. And one of them at least has been blown off in the wind. Whatever it may have told us will now never be known.

Something to think about.
