Yep... and some folks won't make that consideration.

Don't take questions and objections as a lack of consideration.

The default in this world is always the status quo. The onus is on those who propose change to make their case. At the very least they need to be prepared to to respond forthrightly and thoughtfully to questions and objections.

Let me give you an example from another arena. There are those proposing the Fair Tax, a switch from income tax to sales tax. One of the questions raised has been the fairness of double taxation in the transition, people who currently have accumulated savings that were taxed when earned having to pay tax again when they need to spend their savings. That question has been asked many times and never answered. The web site advocating the Fair Tax lists the question in its FAQ but the link to the answer is broken. Advocates on SI won't address the question, either, at least not on threads where I've seen it advocated. It would be a hard question to answer but the onus is on the advocates to do it if they expect to win anyone over.

Similarly, advocates of socialized medicine duck questions, for example, the one about how increasing demand, inevitable with lowered cost, would be avoided, thereby increasing costs. No one not temperamentally predisposed towards socialized medicine will give it more than passing consideration until questions like that are answered to their satisfaction.
