In my ten biopicks I see Curis and Helicos up nicely today.
I divided the ten contest picks into two camps, the 'penny stocks' that are well down into the microcap or even sub microcap catagory si.advfn.com
and the higher priced/better funded stocks (still pretty close to microcap however, with MC of $150-360M) si.advfn.com
Thought it would be a good idea for the contest to have a mix, but also compare the two camps at the end of the year
The portfolios are public, or should be--if anybody happens to read this thread, I'd like to know of the portfolios are indeed visible to you. My stocks are not that interesting, it is mainly a dartboard portfolio of junkier stuff trading cheap. Of the ten stocks I own only one of them, and wouldn't even rate it a buy, maybe a hold, I just don't want to take a large loss in it. I've done only a trivial amount of averaging down in glgc/orxe.
I'm 98% cash, and have been for the past year or two. The only ideas I have so far in the year ahead are to maybe nibble on a couple of biotechs I'm familiar with, maybe over the summer. And to possibly buy one of the inverse or bear market funds. |
