as an aside. in june of 68 i went to bed after RFKs victory in CA. I was 23 years old and giddy with the belief that RFK would become our next president. The next morning is seared in my memory. Watching the train head east with the body of RFK with the throngs standing by the tracks was the most moving thing i have ever seen in my life. Tragedy can strike at anytime. As we get older we know this as truth. But to talk about a campaign with the matter of fact reference to assasination as AS has done in order to support his candidate remaining in the race is absurd.
