Rick, with all due respect to X, I just can't see WCOM going after ASND. It doesn't make any sense. Why would they want an equipment provider? They are a service provider and need to buy the best equipment at the best price available on the market. With their size they should be able to do that now.

That would mean they are looking at a model similar to the old Bell System where AT&T had local, long distance and manufacturing (the old Western Electric). I really find it hard to believe WCOM would want to go back to that vertical model now.

I am a holder of both ASND and WCOM, and don't think it would be in the interest of shareholders in the long run.

Time will tell..................
