Since I am learning about stock trading by reading and watching, I am trying to be as objective as I can so that I avoid to make too many mistakes in the future.

To me, Oracle is a company with good fundamentals. However, to my best knowledge, it is in the downtrend for the time being (the downward trend and bad news). Unfortunately, this down trend happens in October which is the month for mutual fund managers to sell stocks for tax deduction. I am wondering if it will trigger a major sell off if this stock continues to sink.

I understand your situation and would like to share what I learned. Everyone, no matter how great he or she is, loss money here or there. What make a great money manager is that he/she can make a correct decision on wethere to hold a stock or to sell it to cut loss. If you are TRULY LONG on the stock, you may want to hold it because it will move up eventually. However, if you are not that LONG, you may want to think about it twice. My educated guess is that the stock will continue move down for a moment (I do not know how long) and then bounce back. "Stocking" is a tough thing. Who knows what will happen tomorrow for sure.

By the way, you may want to check ASND. It seems to me that stock is just turned around and moves up.

Good luck
