Jenna: I agree with your synopsis of earnings plays. Meaning, that you DON'T have to hold THRU earnings for it to be an "earnings play".

My SLR experience, of last month gives testimony to that.
It doesn't always have to be bad news to come back to bite you, either. Sometimes, INDIFFERENCE (from the street) to good news can have take a good "nip" out of you.

My questions to you are: 1) When/how do you determine which earnings play are going to be straight stock purchases versus options plays.
2) Do you check out IBD daily ea morning for prospects to filter?
3) Are you using VectorVest , as well, along with your ofher veritable "arsenal" of tools to weed out the gremlins with teeth (that come back to bite you)?

And what do you think of siii as a play before its next earnings?
Appreciate you posts
Jaytee
