It's not necessary to offer counter proposals to avoid supporting the status quo. If he were posting about how great the current system is, then you'd have a point, but I don't recall his doing that. Merely objecting to your proposed changes doesn't make him a supporter of the status quo. Come on... this is a discussion thread and Tim has posted here 848 times. If there was dissatisfaction you would think it would have crept into at least a few of those posts.
