While I am happy that you removed American Spirit from the thread, I do not think that any of his comments on this particular thread will result in any action on the part of the Secret Service. He is right to be concerned for the safety of our political candidates - all of our political candidates - but it goes beyond the bounds of good taste to factor that possibility into a political strategy.

Unfortunately, the U.S. has a history of violence by lone nut cases directed toward our political leaders. AS forgets - or ignores - that the targets have not only been on the left. There were attempts on the lives of Reagan, Ford and Wallace. There are no grand conspiracies.
