I dont want to get into that argument at this time but i dont believe that for one minute and even if so, majority should rule. I realize the constitution is involved so my first call would be for states to adopt PR in allocation of delegates. That still gives the small states more representation but would prevent the possible fiasco out there. It was bad enough Bush had less votes than gore and became president. Imagine a situation where kerry somehow won ohio in 04 and lost election 52-48 in pop vote. Thats what i fear happening either way.
One thing about flyover country reference. With tv, computers, internet nothing is flyover. If anything cities have been ignored by candidates and folks in smaller venues like iowa and NH have all these one on ones with candidates. I think the EC has outlived its usefulness. Up until the last 8 years i was for it but i see the danger of what i described above.
