Myron - www.bigcharts.com has a top 100 list of losers/gainers/etc - I would forget everthing going up in volume more than 500% though, and the trick is to screen for those with the smaller percentage gain rather than large jumps in price or volume - the reason for this is so that one can enter prior to the hue climb in volume or jump. I always couple those picks with a more thorough assessment of the relative strength of a company, the fundamentals, and most importantly the chart pattern for both 5 minute, daily and weekly. Look at the differenceces between buying opportunity and profit from the top ten gainers and the bottom 90-100. I think you will learn alot.

Jaytee - I don't use VectorVest, but I know how it works. Be very careful in the interp[retation of what they say is the stocks 'value' - as by their own admission value and todays' price eventually meet - but that means that the Value could DROP to meet the price or even go lower. Before you do anything with VV, forward test their BUY recommendations for at least a month (paper trade - don't really buy them) on what you feel is a good pick. You will discover for yourself its strengths and weaknesses. I use VV a few times a week to get quick numbers like past growth rates for a company, and relative timeing to see how volatile a stock is. I don't use thier other numbers or their recommendations. However, their objectives are different from mine - they are buy-and-hold folks.
