That's o.k., because we still lead the world in medical bankruptcies. The rightwingers have done a slime job on the Harvard Medical School study that says that 50% of all personal bankruptcies in the US were caused by high medical costs. However, close to 100% of all bankruptcies have high medical costs as a contributing factor. Perhaps Greenspan set up the real estate bubble so it could make medical bankruptcies look like a lower percentage.

One wingnut was adamant that it wasn't medical costs that caused a lot of these problems, but the fact that sick people lose their jobs while they are sick. I was happy he gave us another reason to embrace socialism. <VBG>

BTW, I still love capitalism. Capitalism for what isn't important, socialism for what is.
