Beats the crap out of me, since they continue electing the same corrupt officials.

Bring the pork home. If you don't, other senators and congressional representatives will bring home the pork to THEIR constituents.

I've already stated my solution to address this. Term limits. Doesn't mean corruption magically disappears, but it does provide an automatic solution so that people don't have to worry about it.

As for "leveling the playing field," the real problem is just the fundamental one, i.e. the gap between rich and poor. Reduce that gap, and you won't have to worry about campaign finance reform. (Or CPR might be just one of many "affirmative action" solutions that is being advocated until that gap is closed one way or another.)
