"I think Obama is one of the best candidates when it comes to getting us to energy independence. "

Has any President since 1973 not talked about energy independence? Carter promised it within 25 years. At least two others including George W. Bush promised to move in that direction. Politicians make promises for big changes way in the future and then punt it to the future. Maybe Obama is different.

"I'll vote for Obama if he wins the Democratic nomination. If Hillary wins, I will vote for a Republican"

I can respect that. If McCain wins the Republican nomination I would vote for Obama. Regardless of what your reasons for not supporting Senator Clinton, I respect you for that. Too many democrats would support her despite her complete lack of ethics.

"It's also time for someone who knows how to put spirit and unity back into Americans."

After the way democrats treated President Bush when he arrived with an commitment to change the tone in Washington, don't look for any cooperation from Republicans. Perhaps they would lay low to deliver a couple sucker punches like democrats did to President Bush.
