True for today - maybe not for tomorrow. The point was the thread is getting a little overconfident. High profit draws competition. CPQ appears to have beat all existing players - so seious competition will come from new companies - Like detroit got so confident that they didn't consider the japanese seriously.

Samsung did buy a computer company and has the dollars to fund a major development effort. I think cpq rules at present and serious competition will take a few years to develop. Samsung could be a very serious competition for the asian market.
