I think ~1100 is a more likely ultimate target. When and how we get there, no idea, but cash will be a better bet from Aug 2007 to the ultimate bottom (2010?). Can't comment on the short-term bounces, my short efforts have been focused on small caps while gold exposure has been in the stocks - for now - based on XAU/Gold ratio.

"Reflation" efforts by the Fed will be useless. They are so behind the ball this time, it's not even funny. Some of the yield curve is STILL inverted.

The only thing I can say for sure is that the volatility will be unprecedented with lots of traps along the way. My only advice is cover when market RSI dips below 30 and reshort when its above 50.
