I did a quick throwup of my 30-something portfolio and while it handily beats the RUT and everything else it lags your purchases by a wide margin:

Part one, that what I considered quality stocks is -8,76% vs purchase and significantl lost in the new year, replicating the RUT / Nasdaq performance.

The second part, came ahead 3.95% with all gains attributable to the 75% rise in AAII fka PAGI. All others are red.

The highly speculative microcap portfolio with 18 stocks in it added to gains in the new year and is ahead 9.28%. IMH more than doubled and stock like OPBL, TRM, WJCI are showing larger gains.

overall the portfolio is ahead 1.56% vs purchase. It gained 0.01% since Dec 31.
