They did the same thing to Craig.....I just don't like that kind of exclusion. You think Republicans should support Craig and say we don't care if you're a perv who cheats on his wife with weird guys in bathrooms? I think anyone like this s/b repudiated by his political party regardless of what that party is. Homosexuality is a normal aspect of human sexuality. Its very likely Craig is gay. However, he grew up in a repressive, predominately Republican environment that finds homosexuality abhorrent. Consequently, he acted out his homosexuality in unorthodox ways. Its not that unusual occurrence among Republicans. Now if it happened to friend of mine, I would be supportive and not cut him off in anger and disgust. He needs compassion; not hatred and disgust. ----------------------------------------------------- As for Huckabee being trashed, he has been trashing others as well. Really? As badly as they have been doing......behind his back? Yes, the devious comments about Mormons and Jesus and Satan were totally inappropriate for a political conversation. Ditto the advertisement of himself as a Christian Leader. We're electing a President not a "pope" or other spiritual leader of the nation. Secondly a lot of the negative comments re. Huckabee are about controversial pardons he made (which have a bearing on his judgment) and foreign policy statements he's made (like calling for renewed relations with Iran). Fair game for political opposition. You know, I don't care to defend Huckabee. I think he's as much of a scam artist as Romney; that his folksy schtick is not unlike the good bubba act Bush put on during his first campaign. So I will drop it.
