Well now, ain’t Dion psychic? (or psychotic… I keep mixing up those words.) :-) Canada’s next deployment, a month from now, includes an OMLT (aka Omelet) force. These soldiers have been in specific training for this mission for months now. Their mission is to upgrade the training of a part or parts of the Afghanistan National Army (ANA) and the Afghanistan National Police (ANP). Combat likely will be involved. I’m sure that the OMLT Troops have Dion’s ”… training the Afghani police on how to root out corruption in the Afghan Government and working to raise the standard of life for women with an emphasis on Women's rights…" on their to do list. It might; however, be somewhere lower on the to do list as: Keeping alive. Keeping the students alive. Neutralizing (or better) the enemy. Bringing stability to the country. A whole bunch of other stuff. Uhmmm… Aren’t our troops supposed to distance themselves from politics? Id
