Diamonds North Announces Two More Kimberlites With High Diamond
Counts on Amaruk
=======================================================================

VANCOUVER, January 14th, 2008 - Diamonds North Resources Ltd. (TSX-V:
DDN) announces high diamond counts from Qavvik-3 and Qavvik-4
kimberlites located on the Company's 100% owned Amaruk property in the
Pelly Bay Diamond District of Nunavut. A 72.8 kilogram reverse
circulation/percussion (RC) drill-hole sample of Qavvik 3 yielded 183
diamonds and a 65.7 kilogram RC drill-hole sample of Qavvik-4 yielded
129 diamonds. These kimberlites are part of the Qavvik kimberlite
cluster which is approximately 15 kilometres from Tuktu-1 that also
returned high diamond counts (550 diamonds recovered in 81.75 kilogram
sample, see News Release NR08-01, January 8, 2008).

The diamond count for Qavvik-3 is 2.5 diamonds per kilogram and 2
diamonds per kilogram for Qavvik 4. The Company views these results as
very significant as it is generally considered positive to recover 1
diamond per kilogram.

The largest diamonds recovered from Qavvik 3 are: a clear, white
fragment measuring 1.18mm x 0.6mm x 0.58mm; and, an irregular clear,
white crystal measuring 1.2mm x 0.8mm x 0.44mm. The largest diamond
recovered from Qavvik-4 is a clear, white fragment measuring 1.02mm x
0.68mm x 0.54mm.

Table 1 Diamond Sieve Data for the Qavvik-,2,3,4 Kimberlites

Weight Sieve Sizes (mm)
(kg) 0.106 0.150 0.212 0.300 0.425 0.600 Total
Qavvik-3 72.8 94 51 28 6 3 1 183
Qavvik-4 65.7 73 28 21 5 1 1 129
Qavvik-2 71.2 2 3 2 0 2 0 9

To date, only individual diamonds remaining on or above the 0.300mm
mesh have been described as it is standard procedure for Saskatchewan
Research Council (SRC). All are white with a high proportion of clear
octahedral crystal forms.

Diamond results for 13 additional kimberlites are pending, including
eight more kimberlite discoveries in the Tuktu cluster and 3 in the
Qavvik cluster, one being a mini-bulk core sample from Qavvik-1.

Diamonds North has discovered 22 kimberlites to date on the Amaruk
property and so far has identified 3 separate areas that have
demonstrated high diamond counts. In addition to the recent discoveries
the Company has 500 geophysical targets that remain to be tested.

The Qavvik-4 geophysical anomaly covers an area of about 1.5 hectares
and is within 700 metres of Qavvik-5 and Qavvik-6, results of which
remain pending. There are untested targets in close proximity to the
Qavvik-3 kimberlite which has a geophysical anomaly size of less than
one hectare.

In addition to the Qavvik samples, the Company received results for
67.3 kilograms of Ptarmigan-1 and 88.9 kilograms of Umingmak-2, no
diamonds were recovered.

The drill cuttings were logged in secure facilities at the Amaruk field
camp by geoscientists. Samples were securely sealed in solid containers
and shipped to Saskatchewan Research Council (SRC) in Saskatoon for
processing. The results presented in this news release were obtained by
SRC using their standard caustic fusion diamond recovery method. SRC is
accredited by the Standards Council of Canada to the ISO/IEC Guide 25
standard for specific registered tests. As part of an ongoing Quality
Control & Quality Assurance program, Diamonds North will conduct
reviews and audits of results.

Bruce Kienlen (P.Geol) and Graham Gill (P. Geo) are Diamonds North's
qualified persons reviewing these projects. They are responsible for
the design and conduct of the exploration programs and the verification
and quality assurance of analytical results.

Diamonds North Resources is focused on discovering Canada's next
diamond mine. The Company is rapidly evolving and committed to building
long-term value through ongoing diamond discoveries.
