I am going to be tempted beyond belief to sell some gold in the 1200 range which I think we'll see in the Spring.
It may correct a bit soon because nothing goes through a sustained parabola without taking a breather, not Nasdaq, not QCOM, not China, not Japan, not tulips, etc. At the height of the parabola, precipitous declines happen, inevitably, fixedly, without exception, as if all of Newton's laws applied to financial markets, with the exception that the damage to the sleepy and inattentive is done by heavy iron hammers, not pesky little apples falling off a tree.
At some point, even US financials will look tasty.
Question of the day. How deep or how shallow will the slowdown in US growth be? I ask it because I am for once uncharacteristically without a clue or even an opinion. Like most here, I am well positioned for a downturn, but it is time to look beyond it. Fixing its parameters is proving difficult for me.
I suppose we must watch, wait, stalk, intuit, analyze, skip, jump, relax and, most of all, be patient and enter Mq's Zen-like golf playing mode so as to become the new Tiger Woods of the investing world. |
