Yeah, people don't take care of themselves and you have a million healthcare companies sitting around like pigs at the trough looking to profit off of their conditions. Its probably more accurate to say that our system does not deal well with prevention or chronic conditions, that our system is set up to deal inefficiently with acute conditions. I'm pretty negative on the US these days given the general lack of work ethic and all the pigs running around trying to profit off of the system. (Umm...As I sit at work on a messageboard instead of doing work, even as I have a tight deadline staring down at me and even as my boss just came in to talk to me about what I should be working on.) It really amazes me that the US has been strong as long as it has.
