Rightwing gays remain in the closet, which makes them act out in more shameful ways. Since they can't have open relationships, instead they tend to go underground, to gay prostitutes, mens rest rooms, etc., then in public they often speak out against gays and demonize them as a disguise for their own shameful secret. That has been borne out over the years by many case examples.

On the other hand, honest gays have fairly normal lives and often have good, strong relationships. My neighbor is gay and he seems to have a monogamous relationship with his boyfriend. They are always together.
