Harris Stratex Networks Selected by Starcomms to Provide Eclipse Radios for 3G Network Expansion Across Nigeria

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C., Jan. 15 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Harris Stratex Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq: HSTX - News), the leading independent supplier of turnkey wireless transmission solutions, will supply Starcomms Plc, Nigeria's leading CDMA operator, with new Eclipse(TM) radios as part of Starcomms' expanding network operations into new cities throughout Nigeria.

Starcomms will implement the new Eclipse radios in their 3G CDMA network. Under terms of the multi-million dollar deal, Harris Stratex will install, maintain and service the Eclipse radios, which will be used for both backbone and access in new locations being served by Starcomms across Nigeria.
