I've never, ever seen, or heard, of any mortgage company "guaranteeing" anything like that. I sure as hell bet that "guarantee" wasn't in writing, was it? ;-)
How much BS does one need to wade through when buying a car? Is it any different really?? Read and check the fine print, comprehend what you are getting yourself into, and avoid the sales pitch. Take some personal responsibility. Americans, in general, imho, need to learn some fiscal restraint and some personal responsibility.
No, I won't shed any tears for morons in way over their head. Let the market work through it and don't kill the dollar with further rate cuts........
