I'm not really seeing that. A lot of old IT was moved to india in the past 5 years and that means there was this large hit to these companies in 02 or so and the business never came back- its in India now. But what business is there for companies like intel, is growing at this point along with emerging markets.

The company that has a high margin US customer presence is aapl. THeir quarter is coming we will see how that goes. I will watch GOOG, AAPl and AMZN for signs of a recession in their business. I agree there will be a recession but what we were discussing is what about in the bay area, what are we seeing. At this point not much but a ton of hiring here.

They were laying off at the established mainframe companies like IBM and Unisys all through the 90s, not every sector needs to do well in this business.
